Woodgate Beach - the relaxing atmosphere of Woodgate Beach has something to do with the
long stretch of unspoilt beach, surrounded by the Burrum Coast (Kinkuna) National Park.
A walkway/cycleway runs almost the full length of the esplanade and is popular
with locals and visitors alike. Bikes are available for hire at Barkala Store.
Banksia Park offers a covered playground as well as an exercise station for
the health conscious.
A variety of eating venues are located in Woodgate Beach including
Woodgate Beach Restaurant,
which has Internet access available, a Hotel and Bowls Club as well as take - away venues.
The restaurant, hotel and club offer a
free shuttle bus from and to your door. Woodgate Beach also boasts a
supermarket, tourist park kiosk and shop, post office, hardware, bakery,
a hairdresser and a boutique. Tennis courts are available for hire from
the post office store for a reasonable fee.
Numerous walks are also close at hand.
Childers – just 25 minutes drive West and you find Historic Childers.

Bundaberg – just 40 minutes North and you hit the beautiful township
of Bundaberg, home to the famous Bundaberg Rum. It is the southern - most
access point to the Barrier Reef.
